Hope first takes shape in the dark. It is born, almost as if though ugliness. And yet it grows, maybe even thrives there ever pointing to the other side, because past the mess and brokenness...there is beauty. And without the contrast of experiencing the one, how can we really truly see the other? This window is tucked away in a small corner of the house where I often see it at the end of a day...when my soul is weary. Every time the light shines through in the evening, I see it a different way. Light shining in the darkness. So I painted it (scroll to see)... “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. “ Jn. 1:5

Please note: while I do my best to photograph artwork with true-to-life, it is important to note that watercolor is a difficult medium to capture on camera. At times this may result in slight differences of coloring and contrast. Thanks for your understanding!
